Gastroenterologist - Imperial County, CA

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dedicated Gastroenterologist to join our healthcare team. The physician will diagnose and treat gastrointestinal conditions, perform endoscopic procedures (colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy), and collaborate with other specialists to provide comprehensive patient care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting patient assessments and physical exams

  • Performing endoscopic and related GI procedures

  • Interpreting imaging results in collaboration with radiologists

  • Managing perioperative care for GI surgeries

  • Educating patients on lifestyle modifications and treatment plans

  • Maintaining accurate medical records in EHR systems (Epic preferred)

  • Participating in clinical research initiatives

  • Collaborating with cardiology, endocrinology, oncology, and other specialties

  • Staying updated on advancements in gastroenterology practices and technologies

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

  • MD or DO with completed residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (preferred)

  • Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic experience a plus)

  • Knowledge in associated specialties (cardiology, endocrinology, oncology)

  • Critical care experience and skills in airway management, IV infusion, and suturing are advantageous

  • Strong communication and patient interaction skills
