Groundswell is a premier technology integrator and solution provider, resolutely committed to solving the most complex challenges facing federal agencies today. Our name, Groundswell, represents our commitment to be an unstoppable, seismic change in government. Ours is a small company culture with big company reach and results. Are you ready to be audacious, be bold and drive change at a rapid pace? Join us, where we’ll make a greater impact together.

What You’ll do:

Groundswell is seeking an experienced Collibra Developer to support the design, development, and implementation of enterprise data governance and metadata management solutions using the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform. This role will work closely with data governance, engineering, architecture, and business teams to translate governance requirements into scalable technical solutions. The developer will work in an environment that uses Databricks as a core data platform, with a particular focus on integrating Collibra with Databricks to support metadata management, cataloging, lineage, and governance.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a hands‑on, experienced Collibra Developer with strong Collibra expertise and experience working with Databricks or similar modern data platforms. The ideal candidate can independently deliver Collibra solutions, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, customize, and enhance the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, including Collibra Data Governance Center (DGC), Edge, and related capabilities.
  • Configure and maintain communities, domains, asset types, attributes, relationships, responsibilities, and governance operating models.
  • Develop and maintain business glossaries, data catalogs, metadata models, and governance assets.
  • Design, develop, and support Collibra workflows, including BPMN-based workflow automation for governance and stewardship processes.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Collibra and Databricks to support metadata ingestion, cataloging, governance, and lineage.
  • Support the ingestion and governance of Databricks data assets, including catalogs, schemas, tables, columns, and related technical metadata.
  • Implement and support end-to-end data lineage across Databricks and other enterprise data platforms.
  • Develop integrations between Collibra and enterprise data sources and applications using Collibra REST APIs, Edge capabilities, scripting, and integration frameworks.
  • Work with business SMEs, data owners, data stewards, architects, and engineering teams to translate functional and technical requirements into Collibra solutions.
  • Support data quality, stewardship, issue management, policy management, and governance lifecycle processes.
  • Develop scripts and utilities using Python, Java, SQL, or similar technologies to support integrations and automation.
  • Troubleshoot Collibra workflows, Databricks integrations, metadata ingestion jobs, lineage, and other platform issues.
  • Support testing, deployments, platform upgrades, security configuration, and production support activities.
  • Develop governance reports, dashboards, metrics, and operational monitoring as needed.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical design discussions, code reviews, documentation, and release activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve governance processes through automation and better use of Collibra capabilities.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen per contract requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a position of Public Trust per contract requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience developing, configuring, and implementing solutions using the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Collibra DGC and Collibra Edge.
  • Experience configuring Collibra communities, domains, assets, relationships, attributes, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Experience developing and supporting Collibra workflows and BPMN‑based automation.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data cataloging, business glossaries, data lineage, and data stewardship.
  • Experience integrating Collibra with databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications using REST APIs and integration frameworks.
  • Experience working with Databricks or comparable cloud-based data platforms, including schemas, tables, metadata, and lineage.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational/data platform concepts.
