Job description

Job Purpose:
The Enrichment Programming Teacher at JAFCO is responsible for developing and delivering innovative educational programs that enhance the learning experience for students. This role involves creating engaging curriculum content that stimulates intellectual curiosity, fosters critical thinking, and supports the overall academic growth of students.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement enrichment programs that complement the standard curriculum and cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to integrate enrichment activities into the broader educational framework.
  • Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of enrichment programs through student feedback and performance metrics.
  • Stay updated with the latest educational trends and technologies to continuously improve program offerings.
  • Facilitate a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Organize and lead workshops, seminars, and other educational events that promote skill development and knowledge acquisition.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and program outcomes for reporting and analysis purposes.

Required Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Applicants must meet one (1) of the following minimum qualifications:

  • Hold a current or expired teaching certificate from any state or country; OR
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years of active K-12 teaching experience in an educational setting, verified by a letter from a school or other official documentation; OR
  • Have successfully completed the first two (2) years of a four-year teaching degree program, verified by current college transcripts.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of child development principles and educational best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to develop creative and innovative programming that enhances students' learning experiences.
  • Proficient in using educational technology and tools to support teaching and learning activities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
