Job description

2026-2027 Anticipated Vacancies

Preschool Paraeducators/Collaborative Program

Summary: The Region No. Four Supervision District has anticipated Paraeducator positions available at one of our schools: Valley Regional High School, John Winthrop Middle School, Chester Elementary School, Deep River Elementary School and/or Essex Elementary School. 

Candidates should demonstrate an ability to: collaborate in multiple educational settings, to work with students with academic and behavioral needs, be flexible, maintain confidentiality, and show passion and enthusiasm for their assignment. 

Experience working with a wide range of related service providers and support staff to meet the needs of diverse learners preferred. Experience in Literacy, DTI, Math, behavior management, one on one, and inclusion preferred.  35.0 hours a week.

Requirements

  • A passing score on ParaPro certificate (457) or Associates Degree or 60 college credits.

Assignment: Chester Elementary School and Deep River Elementary School

Start date: August 24, 2026
