About the Role


ALTEN Canada is seeking an Industrialization – Project Manager to drive production efficiencies, optimize manufacturing processes, and implement advanced technologies in a high-impact aerospace environment.


You will lead transformative projects, design manufacturing cells, and ensure alignment with strategic business objectives. Your expertise in Lean methodologies, project governance, and aerospace manufacturing will be essential for success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Develop and execute projects to enhance production efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Manufacturing Optimization: Design and implement manufacturing cells and plant layouts to streamline workflows.
  • Strategic Alignment: Coordinate projects in line with company strategies (e.g., Make vs. Buy decisions) and develop robust business cases.
  • Governance & Oversight: Provide project governance, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Technology Integration: Identify and deploy new manufacturing technologies to improve processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean concepts and methodologies to drive operational efficiency.


Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • Education: Technical post-secondary degree.
  • Experience: 5+ years in aerospace (Engineering/Methods/Manufacturing).
  • Project Management: Strong skills in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret aircraft engineering drawings.
  • Lean Expertise: Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with Aerospace Manufacturing Systems and Aerospace Engineering Systems.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety policies and PPE requirements.


Tools & Certifications

  • Project Management: MS Project, Agile methodologies.
  • Process Improvement: Lean Six Sigma or equivalent certifications.
  • Design Software: CAD tools for plant layout and manufacturing cell design.
