Job description

Position Overview

At Fortis Motion LLC, we are dedicated to celebrating every developmental milestone of our young patients. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our vibrant team. This full-time position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a playful, compassionate environment, where therapy is both fun and meaningful. Our PTA will be at the forefront of providing care to children, helping them achieve their mobility and developmental goals.

About the Organization

Fortis Motion LLC is a pediatric outpatient therapy clinic located in the heart of Temecula, California. Our clinic is built on a foundation of compassion, employing play-based learning and therapeutic methods to engage children and facilitate their growth. We partner closely with families, emphasizing a team approach to ensure each child's therapy is effective and personalized. Our mission is to foster an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and empowered to explore their abilities to the fullest.

Work Environment

At our facility, located within a hospital setting, our team enjoys a collaborative and supportive environment. Mondays to Fridays, from 9 AM to 5 PM, our PTA will engage with a diverse group of professionals, including licensed physical therapists and pediatric specialists. The clinic's design includes child-friendly spaces equipped with the latest rehabilitation tools and therapy aids, allowing PTAs to creatively engage children during therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, developmentally appropriate physical therapy interventions for children from birth to adolescence, ensuring adherence to individualized treatment plans designed by licensed Physical Therapists.
  • Assist in implementing therapy techniques aimed at enhancing strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and overall confidence in our pediatric patients.
  • Utilize innovative, play-based strategies to effectively engage children during therapeutic exercises, fostering a positive environment that motivates them to participate.
  • Track and document each child's progress in detail, collaborating with supervising PTs to adjust treatment plans as needed based on individual growth.
  • Maintain open communication with families and caregivers, reinforcing therapy goals and providing guidance for home exercise programs that support the child's development.
  • Contribute actively to maintaining a clinic culture that is inclusive, safe, and welcoming for children of all abilities, emphasizing teamwork and respect.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant at Fortis Motion LLC will focus on a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of children with developmental delays, orthopedic conditions, and other physical challenges. Your role will involve working closely with not only the children themselves but their families—building trusting relationships to help families feel supported and informed throughout the treatment journey.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Possession of a current California PTA license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • A collaborative mindset with an eagerness to learn from others and share knowledge while fostering an enjoyable work atmosphere.
  • Patience, energy, and adaptability are essential traits, allowing for tailored interactions based on each child's needs.
  • A profound passion for pediatric care and a desire to create engaging and empowering therapy sessions.
Preferred Experience
  • While pediatric experience is highly valued, new graduates with clinical rotations in pediatric settings are encouraged to apply.
  • A background in implementing therapeutic play and creative engagement strategies is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance to support your health and well-being.
  • Participation in a 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions to help you build for your future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) policy alongside holiday pay to ensure work-life balance.
  • Continuing education unit (CEU) reimbursement and dedicated opportunities for professional development to enhance your skills.
  • A supportive leadership team committed to fostering a team-first workplace culture.
Career Growth Opportunities

Fortis Motion LLC values the growth and advancement of our team members. We provide numerous opportunities for professional development, including workshops, mentorships, and specialized training to enhance clinical skills. As a PTA, the potential for career progression includes transitioning to a supervising role or specializing in areas of pediatric therapy that spark your interest.
