Exciting Opportunity for a Bariatrics APP

Our organization in Mason City, Iowa, is thrilled to announce a fantastic opening for a Bariatrics Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to become part of our Bariatric Surgery team. We welcome both new graduates and seasoned professionals to apply!

Opportunity Highlights
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team consisting of one Bariatric Surgeon and two APPs.
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
  • Engage in a combination of clinical and surgical responsibilities.
  • No on-call duties required!
  • The clinic is situated within the Mason City Clinic, a multi-specialty facility connected to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a 342-bed regional teaching hospital.
  • Primary service area serves approximately 260,000 residents.
  • Facility includes a Level III Trauma Center with helicopter services.
Position Details
  • Compensation: Starting salary of $114,000, plus a $25,000 recruitment bonus!
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including malpractice insurance, continuing medical education (CME) support, relocation assistance, paid time off (PTO), health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, health savings account (HSA), disability coverage, and a generous retirement contribution from the employer.
About MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center

This regional health system encompasses 14 counties and includes MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, seven critical access hospitals, and 42 clinics throughout northern Iowa. It is a teaching hospital that offers Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency Programs, as well as Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Fellowships.

Candidate Requirements
  • Must be board-certified as a Physician Assistant (PA) and eligible for an Iowa medical license, DEA, and CSA, along with obtaining medical staff privileges at MercyOne North Iowa.
