Job Title: AV & Collaboration Engineer Contract Length: 18+ Month contract 3 days in office/ 2 remote Location: NEW YORK, NY 10001 Ref# 246138 We are seeking a high-caliber AV & Collaboration Engineer to join a global engineering team focused on workplace technology. This role will be responsible for evaluating, designing, and leading deployments of next-generation collaboration solutions. The position serves as a regional technical authority, ensuring deployments align with global standards while driving adoption of new technologies

This is not a traditional support role; it combines engineering, implementation, and technical leadership responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Technology Evaluation Partner with a global engineering team to identify and evaluate emerging conference room technologies Conduct proof-of-concept testing in regional labs to validate hardware and software performance within the network environment Lead pilot deployments, gathering user feedback and technical data to refine global standards Design & Standards Engineering Collaborate on standardized AV designs for various space types, including huddle rooms and executive boardrooms Develop and maintain technical documentation such as signal flow diagrams, wiring schematics, and configuration guides Ensure all regional deployments align with global security, networking, and design standards Regional Technical Leadership Act as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex AV and collaboration issues Support regional operations and resolve systemic technical challenges Work with AV integrators and vendors to ensure deployments meet engineering specifications Technical Requirements Expert knowledge of video conferencing systems, AV over IP standards, control systems, and audio DSP Proficiency with Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms, including backend management and advanced configuration Experience with Cisco Control Hub and Call Manager Hands-on experience with DSPs, PTZ cameras, beamforming microphones, and large-format displays/LED walls Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and signal flow diagrams Ability to work independently as part of a global team across time zones Role Scope Room Deployment Management Support end-to-end deployment of conference rooms and collaboration spaces Partner with business teams to scope, procure, and implement AV solutions Manage deployments ranging from large-scale rollouts (hundreds of rooms) to single-room setups Engineering & Implementation Support Contribute to active and upcoming deployments Assist with stabilization and cleanup of existing implementations Provide engineering input and hands-on support across projects Additional Notes This role combines hands-on implementation with engineering oversight Strong deployment experience is critical Candidates with AV integrator backgrounds are well aligned This is not a network engineering role; AV expertise is the primary requirement
