Job description

Phone/Skype Hire. Onsite from day 1

Location: Albany, NY

Duration: 12+ months

Responsibilities

  • Support lead developer with application development and support tasks in platforms such as Cold Fusion.
  • Participate in analysis, coding, testing and maintenance for all phases of development currently in a Cold Fusion and SQL Server based application environment and prospectively to ITS supported technology other than Cold Fusion.
  • Create documentation and technical How-To presentations as necessary related to applications developed and maintained in the environment.
  • Ensure security framework, implementation and maintenance are considered in designs.
  • Document and track task progress, leverage NYS ITSM system for incident, request and change management.
  • Enhance and update application security employing secure development principles and leveraging features of development tools and frameworks; ensure database security and integrity; integrate appropriate authentication and authorization technologies supported by NYS.
  • Support and debug application issues in the current and prospective environments.
  • Participate in review, development, and updates as necessary to application development standards.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Meet and work with end-users to define, document and implement business requirements;
  • SQL-Server database coding and object design and creation in support of ColdFusion applications.
  • Perform application upgrades and patching as needed and ensure security vulnerabilities are identified are addressed.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย

  • 60 Months experience in SQL-Server development tool sets including; Management Studio and Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) for Integration Services (SSIS).ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • 48 Months experience using source code controller like VSS, CVS, GITHUB.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย ย ย ย ย ย ย
