Familiarity with ColdFusion frameworks (such as ColdBox or Fusebox), source control systems (like Git), and relevant certifications can enhance your technical toolkit. ColdFusion developers often work with legacy codebases that may lack proper documentation and use outdated programming practices. Prospective clients contact you with a list of services required, such as debugging, a complete code rewrite, or consultation. In that aspect, being a freelance ColdFusion developer or programmer is no different from working in this field traditionally.
