Paramount Transportation Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Adobe ColdFusion Programmer / Software Developer to join our team at our worldwide headquarters located in San Marcos, CA. The ideal candidate will work with a team to design, implement, and support our in-house websites and applications. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop applications using ColdFusion Markup Language (CFML), including creating, maintaining and optimizing web applications.
  • Design and develop custom ColdFusion Components.
  • Design, develop, implement and maintain relational databases, specifically MS SQL server.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust REST and SOAP APIs using ColdFusion
  • Implement AI-powered features within existing ColdFusion and MS SQL Server applications.
  • Integrate third-party AI services via REST APIs to enhance internal workflows, reporting, and decision support tools.
  • Support automation initiatives such as document data extraction, validation, intelligent search, and workflow optimization.
  • Assist in designing data retrieval and context-aware AI solutions using structured SQL datasets.
  • Ensure AI integrations comply with company data security, governance, and performance standards.
  • Consult with manager, to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security
  • Identify and resolve issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
  • Understand the business and processes your creating the program for
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

  • Proficient in Adobe ColdFusion CFML and CFCs
  • Proficient with MS SQL Server
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML and JSON
  • Experience at database-driven websites using ColdFusion application server for Intranet/Extranet applications.
  • Experience integrating AI or machine learning services into business applications.
  • Familiarity with retrieval-based AI approaches, embeddings, or vector search concepts is a plus.
  • Must have an understanding of software development principles and practices
  • Must be able to plan, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Must have a can do attitude, and capable of performing quality, detailed work, both independently and with a team
  • Computer Science education or a related discipline preferred
