Job Details:

Freezer Operator

If you are looking to make an impact on a meaningful scale, come join us as we raise the world's expectations of what good food can do!

This position is responsible for keeping freezers maintained and using motor-powered equipment while working in an area with temperatures ranging from -10 to 34 degrees, and lifting, pushing or pulling up to 40 pounds. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided, which will include a freezer suit, gloves, and head wear, you will be trained and licensed as a professional forklift operator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Sweep and/or vacuum vestibules, aisles and bays in cold storage freezer.

Sweep and/or vacuum dock.

Clean and return equipment

Clean walls of vestibules, dock, cold storage freezer, and vestibule curtains.

Pick up and properly dispose of all debris on floors of dock and in cold storage freezer.

Stack up and place all bad pallets in designated area.

Place all trash in compactor.

Place all condemned and/or exposed product to rework area.

Report all damaged product to supervisor.

Train on other jobs in facility.

Follow all safety rules.

All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Must be willing to tolerate continuous physical labor in a cold (-10 degrees F), humid environment (9-11 hours per day).

  • Must be willing to lift up to 50 pounds to stack pallets on a continual basis (9-11 hours per day).

  • Must be willing to perform proper lifting techniques, including continually bending at the knees to lift with the legs and pivoting to avoid twisting (9-11 hours per day).

  • Must be willing to work quickly and efficiently (9-11 hours per day).

  • Must be willing to walk a great deal manually sweeping, reaching underneath bays (9-11 hours per day).
