Are you a hands-on Logistics Manager with a passion for streamlining operations and guiding teams to success?

APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Strasburg, VA looking to add a Logistics Manager to their new operation. Their primary responsibility will be ensuring efficient coordination of supply chain activities, accurate recordkeeping, and uninterrupted material flow. This role will manage multiple logistics functions and optimize operational performance. Keep reading for more details!

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and coordinate all logistics and supply chain operations
  2. Oversee movement, storage, and tracking of materials
  3. Ensure proper recordkeeping and chain of custody documentation
  4. Develop logistics strategies to improve efficiency
  5. Identify and resolve supply chain disruptions
  6. Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and third-party partners
  7. Analyze logistics data to drive improvements
  8. Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
  9. Adapt to changing operational conditions
  10. Communicate effectively across teams and resolve issues quickly
  11. Actively participate in the management team which determines priorities, resolves issues and plans for the development of the recycling plant
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
  2. Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in Logistics management role
  3. Proven experience managing logistics functions
  4. Exceptional coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  5. Strong data analytics and logistics systems experience
  6. Proven track record of developing and implementing action plans to improve efficiency
  7. High degree of attention to detail, data accuracy, and recordkeeping skills
  8. Possesses strong written & verbal communications with all levels of management, time management, and interpersonal skills
  9. Self-motivated with ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage complex/changing priorities
  10. Demonstrated ability to make tough business and management decisions in a fast-paced environment
  11. Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies along with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a result-driven, team-oriented environment
  12. Personally driven and motivates others to excel
  13. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  14. Availability to work extended hours/weekends as needed
