Bargaining Unit Announcement: This is a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME).
Contingent Upon Funding: Contingent upon funding
Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)
If Not a Standard Work Schedule:
Job Duties and Responsibilities: This position's focus is on post award monitoring of restricted and unrestricted funding sources, ensuring compliance with policy, procedure, funding source terms and conditions, and uniform administrative requirements, cost principles and audit requirements. This position reviews travel expense reports, direct payment requests, procurement card transactions, and other fiscal documents including deposit of funds from sales submitted by college staff, secures all appropriate approval signatures, and uploads same to the NMSU central business function for process completion. This position serves as a primary point of contact to fiscal support staff working within the college.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:High School diploma + 3 years of relevant experience or an Associate's
Degree + 1 year of relevant experience.
Equivalent Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:General understanding of general accepted accounting principles and procedures.
Special Certification/Licensure:
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Physical Effort: No or very limited physical effort required.
