Job Description

Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To:

  • Monitor and respond to email, company cell phone, and radio communications with the highest level of customer service, addressing requests and inquiries promptly.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits of all yard materials including corrugated, plastic bags, labels, twist ties, rubber band tags, and other packaging materials; scan tags and verify physical counts against system records using FIFO (First In, First Out) standards.
  • Verify that all incoming fiber supplies from approved vendors match purchase orders and quality specifications upon receipt.
  • Identify, account for, and report any damaged boxes or products; update inventory systems accordingly and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Organize and maintain all inventory in a safely arranged, easily accessible manner based on forecasting needs and operational requirements.
  • Communicate with vendors and customers regarding ongoing procedure changes, inventory status, and quality issues to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Communicate all inventory concerns, discrepancies, and operational issues to fiber team leaders and operations management for prompt resolution.
  • Maintain fiber storage areas in a clean, organized condition free of debris, garbage, and loose pallets to ensure safety and accessibility.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Must be flexible and able to deal with a variety of details simultaneously.
  • Must have proven conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be skilled in time management and be capable of meeting work schedule deadlines.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Reliable; consistently at work and on time.
  • 2+ year sit-down forklift experience.
  • 2+ years of Inventory Control experience a plus.
  • Must be able to identify material quality upon receipt, count and have basic math skills.
  • Experience with inventory computer systems.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision and multi-task.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented.
  • The ability to work well with others by building cooperative relationships with other departments.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Excel/Word/Outlook.
  • Must be able to work overtime when business requires, i.e. busy seasons, vacation coverage, etc.
  • Must have sensory capabilities to avoid accidents as warehouse environment involves fast moving forklift and power jack equipment
