CoinFlip is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Litigation Paralegal to support its legal team in managing disputes, regulatory matters, and litigation. This role will play a key part in coordinating case strategy, maintaining documentation, and ensuring efficient legal operations in a fast-moving fintech environment.
Responsibilities:
Litigation Support
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation investigation, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities
  • Draft and manage legal documents such as pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests, and correspondence
  • Coordinate with outside counsel and manage case-related communications

Case Management
  • Maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines across multiple matters
  • Track and organize evidence, exhibits, and document productions
  • Support e-discovery processes, including document review and production

Regulatory & Compliance Matters
  • Assist with responses to regulatory inquiries, subpoenas, and enforcement actions
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research related to cryptocurrency, financial services, and money transmission laws
  • Help maintain records related to compliance investigations and disputes

Internal Collaboration
  • Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to gather information relevant to legal matters
  • Assist in internal investigations and fact-finding efforts
  • Support the development of internal policies and procedures related to litigation risk

Administrative & Operational Support
  • Manage legal billing, vendor coordination, and document management systems
  • Prepare reports and summaries for internal stakeholders
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program
  • 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience (in-house or law firm)
  • Experience with e-discovery tools and document management systems
  • Familiarity with regulatory or financial services litigation is strongly preferred
  • Experience in fintech, cryptocurrency, or highly regulated industries is a plus
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical and compliance teams

Nice to have:
  • Basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchains
  • General passion and knowledge of fintech and cryptocurrency

Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $55 - $60/hour USD
