Job description

Come work for a small, locally owned and family business in the heart of Fulshear! You’ll get to know your customers by name and become a part of the Fulshear community! We offer flexible scheduling, training, employee discounts, and Health, Dental and Vision insurance for full-time employees.

We are looking for friendly folks to fill our Shift Supervisor position. This is a full-time, 30-40 hours per week, position. This person enjoys helping others, is personable, adapts to change, is quick on their feet, and a fast learner. Sales Floor Leaders possess leadership and exceptional customer service skills, honesty, positivity, and enjoy working with and helping others.

Requirements

  • Retail experience
  • Highly reliable and dependable
  • Open schedule availability, including holidays, mornings, evenings, weekends and Sundays
  • Retail Sales and Key Holder experience preferred
  • Knowledge of home maintenance and hardware preferred
  • Provide the best possible experience for Every Customer, Every Time by being helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly
  • Assist with customer concerns and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to learn and operate point of sale system and assist cashiers with register discrepancies
  • Go-to leader on the sales floor when other associates have questions
  • Complete and delegate opening and closing procedures
  • As key holder, open store with staff and secure store at close
  • Manage incoming online orders and in-store special orders
  • Assist in training and development of peers
  • Maintain awareness of current sales and promotions
  • Restock merchandise displays as needed
  • Assist with stocking shelves from deliveries
  • Assist with general store maintenance and appearance
  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Job responsibilities may change based on the needs of the business

Essential Function Physical Requirements:

  • Efficiently and correctly count a cash and coin register drawer
  • Calculate and correctly give back change to a customer
  • Utilize a ladder repeatedly
  • Operate store equipment, including but not limited to, mixing paint, cutting keys, start gas power equipment.
  • Handle merchandise up to 60 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting
  • Able to stand, walk, bend and stoop for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Able to use a computer to assist customers, confirm online orders, enter in-store customer orders, and time-punches
