Summary of Position

The Machine Operator isresponsible for the application of production machines at Rolled MetalProducts, Inc.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

At a minimum, thefollowing is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilitiesexpected of the Machine Operator position. These duties are not exhaustive andare subject to change as the needs of the organization require. 

        Setup and operate machine to process material as required.

        Operatemachine using control panel.

        Examinematerial processed on machine for conformity to customer specifications.

        Re-processmaterials not meeting specifications.

        DirectWarehouse Worker or Helper how to stage material for production efficiency.

        Safelydrive the Hi-lo through the plant to move coils and skids to designated areas.

        Safelyoperate the over-head crane to move coils from the slitter to packaging.

        Keepimmediate work area clean and organized throughout the day.

        Useprecision when operating tools such as tape measures, micrometers, nibblers,and calipers.

        Cross-trainother team members as assigned.

        Adhereto all RMP's safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.

        Adhere toall RMP'shandbookpolicies and procedures.
