Job description


Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst supports financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities for the organization and its subsidiaries. This role partners with business units to provide financial insights, improve reporting, and support decision-making. The position also contributes to financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, and process improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles
  • Prepare recurring financial reports and assist in developing materials for senior management and board presentations
  • Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and support for capital investment evaluations
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
  • Support financial oversight of projects through tracking, reporting, and analysis
  • Contribute to M&A activities, including financial modeling, due diligence support, and integration analysis
  • Develop and maintain financial models and reporting tools
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and insights to support business decisions
  • Partner with internal teams to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency
  • Assist with internal audit requests and other special projects as needed

Position Requirements (Work Experience, Skills, Licenses, etc.):
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required
  • 2-5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling and data analysis
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams

Additional Skills/Abilities Preferred, but Not Required:
CPA with Big 4 experience preferred but not required.
  • MBA preferred but not required.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based industries strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Cognos TM1/Planning Analytics, Power BI, or similar business intelligence tools.
  • 2+ years Corporate Finance experience preferred.

Travel required 5-10% of the time to other office locations.
Hours:
This is an exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor. Occasional overtime may be necessary for business needs.
Physical Demands:
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Prolonged sitting.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch.

Competitive Wages:
$89,500 -$122,750 annually. Applicants, please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
