Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cognos Lead to oversee Cognos UI customization, setup, and business analytics reporting for the State Data Warehouse Solution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing the Cognos user interface, ensuring seamless integration with security and business processes, and supporting enterprise reporting needs. This role requires deep expertise in IBM Cognos Analytics, UI customization, report development, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead UI customization efforts in Cognos Analytics, tailoring the interface to meet business requirements.
Configure and maintain Cognos themes, extensions, and styles to enhance user experience.
Set up, administer, and manage Cognos environments, including installation, configuration, security, and performance tuning.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations based on user needs.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and implement solutions.
Optimize report execution performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support for Cognos users.
Manage user access, permissions, and security roles within Cognos Analytics.
Work closely with data architects and ETL teams to ensure proper data modeling and reporting structures.
Implement best practices for Cognos Framework Manager, data modules, and metadata modeling.
Conduct user training sessions and create documentation for Cognos UI and reporting processes.
Stay up-to-date with IBM Cognos Analytics updates, features, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, or related field.
5+ years of experience in IBM Cognos Analytics, including UI customization and reporting development.

Familiarity with Cognos security, authentication, and role-based access control.
