Senior .NET Developer
About the role
As a Senior .NET Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications using modern .NET technologies. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with business analysts, QA teams, and fellow developers to deliver reliable and innovative solutions.

In this role, you will:
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core/.NET Framework
  • Develop and optimize SQL Server database objects, including tables, views, stored procedures, and functions
  • Write efficient, secure, and high-performing T-SQL queries
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business analysts, QA teams, and developers to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and database issues while ensuring performance and scalability

Work model: Hybrid

What you need to have to be considered
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in .NET development
  • Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core/.NET Framework
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills

These will help you stand out
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps, or similar)
  • Experience participating in architectural discussions and system design
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and performance optimization techniques
  • Experience conducting code reviews and promoting development best practices

The annual salary for this position is between $60,000 - $93,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
