POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr Manager, Sales Planning is responsible for developing a unified sales forecast and supporting tools and processes across the business for both DSD and Direct Ship. This position works closely with operations and sales leadership to drive/own Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process improvement resulting in better customer fill rates, less waste, and less internal conflict. This role will provide sales planning support across business segments including China Mist tea and West Coast Coffee and others as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Contribute to building the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the business and improving the AOP process.
  • Contribute to the National and Key Account planning process working closely with sales leadership.
  • Support the development of the business review calendar and related templates (e.g. Quarterly Business Reviews) and provide reporting on key sales initiatives.
  • Responsible for developing the sales forecast working closely with sales leadership and finance.
  • Collaborate with Planning team to improve sales forecast process and accuracy.
  • Work closely with operations and sales leadership to drive Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process improvement.
  • Provide analytical support and insight to monthly sales financial reviews.
  • Assist in developing sales and service scorecards for review by sales leadership.
  • Coordinate with IT to drive automation of reporting where possible.
  • Develop tools, process, training, and score carding to achieve our revenue and margin targets.
  • Provide project management and analytical support as needed on sales initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 7 or more years of progressive experience in Sales Operations, Sales Planning and Forecast Management.
  • Experience in Direct Store Delivery (DSD) organizations preferred.
  • CPG, Beverage, and/or Food Company experience preferred.
  • Experience in project management preferred.
