Job description

CAFE LEAD
Reports to: Store Manager | Department: Retail

Key Responsibilities


Cafe Guest Experience

  • Assist guests based on their Pace & Focus and make recommendations to meet their needs.
  • Describing menu items and suggesting products to customers.
  • Servicing customers, taking orders, receiving and processing customer payments.
  • Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, and specialty beverages.
  • Product knowledge of cafe offerings and Shinola product knowledge and understanding of Pace & Focus - Welcoming, Adjusting, and Connecting.

Operations         

  • Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, utensils and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment for employees and guests.
  • Regular cleaning and maintenance of cafe equipment in adherence of factory standards. Cleaning and sanitizing seating areas after each guest.
  • Ordering, receiving, and distributing stock of supplies.
  • Communicate with Barista's to ensure we are meeting the needs of the business and guests.
  • Maintaining Visual standards.
  • Keep your store clean, presentable and stocked
  • Passing health inspections.
  • Reduction in COGS by maintaining necessary levels of supplies and resources.

Human Resources

  • Communicate staffing needs to Store Manager and partner in the recruitment of Baristas.
  • Once hired Cafe Lead will train on all Barista job requirements.
  • Regularly and consistently abides by Time & Attendance policies and all policies and procedures included within

Qualifications


  • High School Diploma
  • Servsafe Certification
  • Must be 18+ yrs old
  • 1+ years of previous experience as a supervisor in a retail or food service
  • Compensation type: hourly 
  • Compensation:
    Compensation can be negotiated based on previous experience & qualifications.
    • Starting at $17.00 per hour
