Job description

Broward Health Corporate ISC

Shift: Shift 1

FTE: 1.000000

Summary:
Reviews medical record documentation to assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses and ICD-10-PCS procedures as well as present on admission indicators to accurately calculate the MS-DRG and APR-DRG for inpatient encounters. Ensures proper coding billing and compliance according to regulatory guidelines as well as organizational policies.  Will work closely with the Clinical Documentation Specialist Team.

Education:

  • Tech/Trade Certification
  • Associates Degree
  • CCS RHIT RHIA Certification strongly preferred

Education specialization:
* Medical Records Technology

Experience:
* Three Years minimum - inpatient coding experience in an acute care facility

Additional Information:

  • Full-time (Tuesday - Saturday)
  • REMOTE (Dade/Broward/Palm Beach preferred but not required)
  • Must be a FLORIDA resident
