Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform multi-specialty quality reviews as deemed necessary by leadership to include audits and edits as quality issues/concerns are identified (facility, coder, procedure, other operational statistic, provider, query, etc.).
  • Perform regular multi-specialty auditing on EM/UC/Observation and HM based on criteria specified by leadership.
  • Assist global partner team in all areas as needed including but not limited to questions, edits, facility issues, quality concerns, system/CAC issues, providers, etc.
  • Communicate with other departments within RCS and SCP for pending items that require their assistance.
  • Provide guidance, education, and feedback to partner as it relates to auditing, coding, and policies/procedures for all service lines.
  • Maintain a working relationship and communicate any coding and training issues to the Coding Senior Partner Auditor and/or Supervisor/Manager of Coding and Quality Services. Be a point of contact for majority of daily communication between SCP health and their team, ensure they receive all necessary information and address all questions/issues.
  • Document training/education communication provided to the global coding partners.
  • Comply with HIPAA requirements in relation to all chart activities.
  • Comply with current ProCode policies and procedures.
  • Attend appropriate professional and educational meetings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comply with current ProCode policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accuracy and coding production goals as required by ProCode.
  • Basic knowledge of Outlook, Windows, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to learn additional reporting avenues and systems.
  • Experience in professional coding as well as governmental/commercial coding guidelines.

EDUCATION (Required and/or Preferred):
Bachelor's Degree - Required

FIELD OF STUDY (Preferred):
Health Information Management (preferred)

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
NONE

Pay Range:

22.00 - 31.00 USD per hour

This range represents the anticipated base salary for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
