Job description

Responsible for scheduling appointments in accordance with the established guidelines in a manner acceptable to physicians and patients. The scheduler insures compliance with governmental rules and regulations.

  • Schedules and reviews appointments.
  • Maintains and utilizes computerized schedules.
  • Performs patient notification duties.
  • Performs clerical duties.
  • Referrals
  • Obtain prior authorizations, insurance verifications and benefits
  • Keys in hospital charges and diagnoses
  • Manages and maintains meaningful measures
  • Assists with procedures and exams
  • Performs billing duties for provider based billing

High school or equivalent. Prefor prior appointment scheduling, physician office experience including coding.
