The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for the architecture, implementation, and end-to-end optimization of Oracle Exadata Database Machines both On-Prem and Exadata Cloud Services (ExaCC/ExaCS). This role bridges the gap between core infrastructure management and modern data application development, ensuring 24/7 operational availability for mission-critical, large-scale (petabyte-range) data environments.
These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery. This also includes evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies; Automation of common tasks; build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 5+ years of experience in Exadata or Oracle database administration, operations, and production support
  • 5+ years of experience in resolving performance tuning issues
  • 5+ years of experience in Monitoring, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Backup/ Recovery Management, DB Provisioning/de-provisioning, HA/DR, Patching, upgrades and capacity administration
  • 5+ years of experience in Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management
  • 5+ years of experience in documenting solutions and training operational teams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience using ZDLRA as Backup solution would be an added benefit
  • Experience in ticketing tools such as ServiceNow

The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
