Kentucky Medicaid Waiver Compliance Manager (HCBS Programs)

Location: Kentucky (Remote with some travel)

Position Summary

The Waiver Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with Kentucky Medicaid waiver (1915(c) HCBS) programs, including SCL, ABI, and Michelle P. waivers.

This role oversees program integrity, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and audit readiness, ensuring adherence to federal CMS guidelines and Kentucky DMS requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance & Monitoring

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal Medicaid waiver regulations

  • Conduct internal audits and prepare for DMS and CMS reviews

  • Monitor providers for adherence to waiver rules and contracts

  • Develop and implement corrective action plans when deficiencies are identified

  • Support fraud, waste, and abuse prevention efforts

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation inMWMA (Medicaid Waiver Management Application)with frequent communication with case management agencies

  • Completestaff training and onboarding

  • Support policy updates and operational improvements

  • Complete and ensure compliance with referral intake process

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degreein:

Social Work, Health Administration, Public Health, or related field

3-5+years experiencein:

Medicaid waiver programs or HCBSincluding SCL, MPW, and ABI waiver programs

Compliance, QA, or program management

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Kentucky waivers (HCB, SCL, ABI, MPW)

Prior audit, QA, or compliance leadership experience
