Certified Inpatient Coder

Location: 1400 W. Trenton Edinburg TX USA 78539
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Schedule: 5×8s, Day Shift
Shift: 8-hour Day Shift
Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Certified Inpatient Coder for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inpatient medical coding and hold a recognized coding certification such as CPC, CCS, or CCA.

The Certified Inpatient Coder will be responsible for accurately reviewing and assigning appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes based on medical records, documentation, and applicable coding guidelines.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of inpatient medical coding experience.
  • Must possess at least one of the following coding certifications:
    • CPC – Certified Professional Coder
    • CCS – Certified Coding Specialist
    • CCA – Certified Coding Associate
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding.
  • Knowledge of inpatient coding guidelines and medical terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and meet productivity and quality expectations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
