Associate Software Engineer – Clinical Software ProductsJob Responsibilities
  • Implement well-scoped features, bug fixes, and technical improvements under guidance.
  • Write well-structured, testable, documented code for a regulated production environment.
  • Ask clarifying questions in design discussions and incorporate feedback.
  • Submit changes for peer review; respond to feedback and review teammates’ code.
  • Partner with product and engineering to define requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical constraints.
  • Build and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Automate recurring delivery tasks and manual steps with reviewed scripting.
  • Document work (design notes, runbooks, knowledge-base articles).
  • Instrument/monitor production software; participate in incident reviews and root-cause analysis.
  • Learn SOX and FDA change-control practice by completing required evidence/documentation.
  • Pair with teammates and share findings; participate in technical learning.
  • Work AI-first using AI coding assistants and agentic workflows; use review as the quality gate.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0–2 years professional software engineering experience (internships/co-ops/research/projects may count).
  • Foundational proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language.
  • Familiarity with SDLC practices.
  • Comfort with source control, automated testing, and code review.
  • Clear communication and ability to learn unfamiliar systems/technologies.
