Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior coaching experience .
  • Valid Florida teaching certificate or valid Department of Education athletic coaching certificate.
  • Valid FHSAA certification.
  • Valid Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Coaching experience in the assigned or a closely related sport.
  • Experience mentoring youth and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Familiarity with academic eligibility requirements for student-athletes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of the sport's rules, techniques, and safety practices.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff, parents, and community partners.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and during school breaks as needed.

  • Assist with maintenance of team equipment and uniforms.
  • Assist with scheduling and facility use.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and guardians.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes on personal development and college opportunities.
  • Enforce all school policies and codes of conduct.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
