Job description

About the Role
We are looking for a Product Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join a fast-moving LegalTech startup transforming the U.S. immigration experience through AI.
This is a backend-leaning, full-stack role where you will own meaningful product features end-to-end, from backend architecture and database design to the user interfaces used by the company's internal legal team and customers. You will work directly with the founding team and sit close to the legal professionals using the product every day, giving you immediate feedback and a clear view into the impact of what you build.
This team is highly AI-native. Tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex should already be part of how you develop, iterate, and ship production software. The ideal candidate has experience at a high-performing technology company, top-tier startup, or as a founder, and is energized by the pace, ownership, and intensity of an early-stage environment.
What You Will Do
  • Own product features end-to-end, including API design, database architecture, backend implementation, and React-based user experiences.
  • Work directly with the internal legal team to understand complex immigration workflows and build tools that save significant time while improving accuracy and efficiency.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex as part of your day-to-day engineering workflow.
  • Build and iterate on AI-powered product capabilities using LLMs and machine learning models.
  • Partner closely with the founding team and external customers to rapidly improve a platform supporting high-stakes immigration cases.
  • Contribute to technical decisions, product direction, and engineering standards as the company scales.
