Job description

Position Overview
We are looking for high school seniors and college students to join us for an exciting opportunity to teach K-9 students the fundamentals of computer science and programming. The instructor is responsible for delivering the iCode curriculum while creating a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

This is a great opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience, develop leadership skills, and build strong communication abilities.

Classroom management and curriculum training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and educate students according to curriculum and guidelines provided by iCode.

  • Manage a fun, safe, and orderly classroom environment at all times.

  • Provide feedback on class material and student progress through weekly status reports.

  • Communicate regularly with parents, providing updates on student performance and experience.

  • Assist with marketing events, including workshops, community outreach, and local promotions (a plus).

  • Support inbound and outbound calls, including responding to inquiries, assisting with enrollment, and providing general program information.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, outgoing personality, and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Interest in or experience with robotics, gaming, coding, or digital arts.

  • Ability to work with students ranging from Kindergarten through 9th grade.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Experience with computing languages such as Scratch, HTML, or Python.
