Job description

At Team Carney, we donโ€™t just deliver training; we provideย Performance Accelerationยฎ. For over 30 years, weโ€™ve helped federal agencies and military partnersโ€”including the DoW, DOJ, and NASAโ€”reach their full potential. For this contract, ourย 508 Trusted Testers are currently DHS Trusted Tester certified.ย  They are involved in testing web-based training, immersive learning simulations, mobile applications, and documents. The QC team identifies performance and functional issues and tracks them through the revision cycle.ย ย Key Information:
THIS POSITION IS HYBRID WITH ONE DAY A WEEK ONSITE IN LINTHICUM MARYLAND.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE.ย ย 
THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD.ย ย The Role and Responsibilities:
  • Perform various methods of manual testing on eLearning courses and training-related deliverables and reports.
  • Perform compatibility testing, performance testing, and accessibility testing.
  • Perform compliance testing (including SCORM and Section 508).
  • Document andย report errors.ย 
  • Work with team members on identifying and correcting accessibility issues, and verify the resolution of the issues.
  • Manage working on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive solutions that are within sphere of influence.
  • Match product to specifications.
  • Provide consultation on accessibility policies and ensure compliance with all mandatory government accessibility standards.
  • Use various tools such as JAWS, JAWS Inspect, NVDA, ANDI, HTML5, CSS etc.
  • Create ACR's
Minimum Qualifications to Succeed:
  • Current DHS Trusted Tester Certification
  • Bachelor'sย degree and three (3)ย years of relevant experience as a 508 Trusted Tester
  • OR In lieu of a degree, a minimum of five (5) years experience as a 508 Trusted Tester.ย 
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform job requirements independently, with a group andย remotely.ย 
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience and knowledge of federal regulations and DOD policy.
