Software Engineer II Job Description

As a Software Engineer II at Beast Code, you’ll be part of a team that is solving interesting problems every day by developing and maintaining industry-leading training and simulation products.

Your day-to-day will look something like this:

  • Resolve bug reports
  • Communicate resolution of problems and plans for new features
  • Provide flexible, maintainable, and reliable solutions
  • Identify architectural improvements and make large-scale changes
  • Mentor other software engineers
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert on projects
  • Assist in interviewing software engineering applicants

  • Experience programming in C#
  • Bachelor’s degree in a CS-related field
  • Experience in C# and .Net
  • Frontend JavaScript framework, preferably VueJS

Software Engineer I

Works on projects and matters of limited complexity in a support role where work is actively managed. Typically requires 0-2 years of industry experience.

Software Engineer II

Exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function and occasionally require direction in aspects of their work. Typically requires 2 years minimum of industry experience.

Software Engineer III

May direct one or more junior level software engineers. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project, and work is both independent and collaborative in nature. Typically requires 4 years minimum of industry experience.

Software Engineer IV

A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. Typically requires 7 years minimum of industry experience.

Software Engineer V

May provide consultation on complex projects. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Works autonomously.   • Currently hold or have eligibility to obtain and maintain the proper US DoW issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
  • Successfully complete background check and maintain a valid USA driver’s license
