Job description

Seeking full time Audiologist to work in a team-based environment to provide high-level audiological care. This individual should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced ENT clinic with a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team. The audiologist will provide diagnostic and therapeutic services by assessing and treating neonate, infant, children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric hearing, balance, and communication disorders.

The audiology team provides hearing assessment and rehabilitative services for both adults and children. We evaluate, identify and treat hearing loss and evaluate for balance disorders.

Services include:
  • Hearing tests – Evaluate and treat hearing loss and tinnitus for patients across the lifespan (newborn through geriatric). Explains how the hearing system works, counsels on effective communication strategies, and educates patients and their families about effective ways to potentially treat and cope with hearing loss and tinnitus.
  • Hearing aids – Select and custom-fit hearing aids and assistive technology for patients across the lifespan.
  • Dizziness and balance – Evaluate the vestibular systems in order to possibly determine the cause for balance problems.
  • Newborn hearing testing – Evaluate hearing in children after failing the Universal Newborn Hearing Screening to identify possible hearing loss.
  • Cochlear and Bone anchored implants – Evaluate for candidacy and mapping/programming new and existing devices.
  • Other services – Fit swim plugs, and custom/non-custom hearing protection devices.
  • Epic EMR
  • TX Audiology license required
  • ASHS Certificate of Clinical Competency preferred
