Job description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students across a leading school district. We’re seeking an experienced Audiologist for a contract position serving PK–12 students, primarily based at Mission Academy, with occasional travel to additional campuses. Your specialized expertise will make a difference for approximately 50 students districtwide, with scheduling support and collaboration from dedicated staff.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Audiology
  • Current ASHA certification (waiver available for ASHA-certified individuals)
  • State licensure to fit and repair hearing aids, and to practice
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in school settings or an equivalent background
  • Successful completion of required examination
  • Able to complete fingerprinting and background check in a timely manner

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive audiological services, including assessments, fittings, and repairs of hearing aids for students PK–12
  • Work primarily on-site at Mission Academy with districtwide travel to additional campuses as needed
  • Collaborate with itinerant teachers and support staff to coordinate testing and troubleshooting for students bussed in from other campuses
  • Maintain clear records for a caseload of approximately 50 students, prioritizing a subset for weekly services
  • Offer guidance and support to educators and families regarding hearing aid management and auditory access
  • Flexible scheduling: 15–20 hours per week, arranged over 2–3 days based on your availability
