What Does a CDL A Driver do at Swire Coca-Cola?
In this role, you will operate a commercial motor vehicle and play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of our beverages to customers.
Job Details:
Schedule: Swing shift. 3:00pm - 11:00pm Mon - Fri. Shift start times may vary depending on business needs.
Please note that this is a union role, and shifts can change based on seniority.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate and maneuver commercial delivery vehicles to transport beverages to designated retail locations. Follow predetermined delivery routes and schedules, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries while adapting to various traffic and weather conditions. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure the well-being of yourself, other road users, and the cargo
  • Safely load and unload beverage products utilizing proper handling techniques to prevent damage or breakage. May stock beverage products and maintain back rooms/back stock areas as requested by the store or management. Pick up and return pallets, shells and assigned product at each delivery location
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify and report any maintenance or safety issues
  • Utilize electronic devices or paper documentation to confirm deliveries, track inventory, and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with logistics team to ensure accurate inventory counts and resolve any discrepancies. Communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatchers to provide updates on delivery progress, delays, or issues
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, both internally and externally
  • Interact professionally with store personnel and establish positive relationships with store managers and staff
  • Maintain valid CDL-A license
  • Complete all assigned training
  • Attend meetings as assigned and assist with special projects and events
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (or GED) and/or equivalent degree/certificate required
  • CDL-A License required
  • Interstate License required
  • Ability to drive manual transmission preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Driving record must meet Swire's vehicle policy requirements
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business; flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, routes, and delivery demands
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; physical capability to lift and move heavy beverage cases repeatedly throughout the day
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customer, clients, and team members

Base pay range is $30.48 to $33.87. Pay offered will depend on candidate's geographic location, prior relevant experience, knowledge, skills, & abilities.
Employees and families offered Medical, Dental, Vision; union pension with employer contributions; Sick pay awarded at 1 hour per 40 hours work, annually 7 paid holidays plus up to 2 floating holidays; Vacation of 40 hours available next calendar year; Eligible for paid Bereavement and Jury Duty.
