DESCRIPTION OF ROLE: The State of Wisconsin's Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a seasoned COBOL Mainframe Programmer VI (CMP6) to support high-profile application development and maintenance projects in the Child Care Child Welfare (CCCW) program. The selected candidate will contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, XML, and JCL. This individual will work on both online and batch systems and be responsible for a variety of activities, including system analysis, technical solutioning, architecture review, application changes, post-implementation support, and documentation. The CMP6 will collaborate closely with business analysts, quality assurance, and project stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business objectives and meet performance, security, and compliance standards. Occasional on-site presence in Madison, WI may be required. Responsibilities:
