Job description

Job Title: COBOL Mainframe Developer 13+ Years Exp

Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

Qualifications:
  • Experience providing technical design, development, maintenance, enhancement, and end-user support for complex Tax Accounting Systems within a Government Taxation organization.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, debugging, and enhancing COBOL applications in an IBM Mainframe environment.
  • Experience working with IBM DB2 for LUW, administering and querying large-scale databases (1TB or larger), and utilizing XQuery for XML data processing and retrieval.
  • Experience developing and maintaining applications using IDMS databases and DMLO within an IBM mainframe environment.
  • Experience developing and supporting enterprise applications using Application Productivity System (APS) and CICS transaction processing in a mainframe environment.
  • Experience implementing and supporting IBM MQ Series for reliable message queuing, asynchronous communication, and enterprise application integration.
  • Experience designing, developing, and optimizing applications using IBM DB2 for z/OS, including complex database structures, SQL development, and performance optimization.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting IBM MVS Job Control Language (JCL) for batch processing, job scheduling, and production support.
  • Experience using Time Sharing Option (TSO) for application development, program execution, dataset management, debugging, and system administration in an IBM mainframe environment.
  • Experience performing application performance analysis, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization to improve system efficiency, resource utilization, and overall application performance.
