The Commercial Contract Analyst III/Sr. will consult and collaborate to craft, execute and support the ongoing management of structured commercial agreements, including PPAs, of varying complexity. This role plays a critical role in enabling deal execution and protecting company value across the full contract lifecycle.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Prepares and coordinates the creation, redlining, and execution of sophisticated agreements with an emphasis on negotiating terms that improve value and mitigate contractual exposure
  • Leads communication with internal and external partners to collaborate on contract and document draft/redline/execution
  • Contributes through identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives, with an eye for tools, ideas, and process improvements to increase efficiencies within the group
  • Assists the business to find adequate contract solutions for customers
  • Crafts new contract templates and updates the existing templates on as as-needed basis; makes recommendations to our policies and guidelines for commercial contracts
  • Collaborates with various partners with new business development opportunities and/or special projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:
  • Required: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing agreements related to natural gas midstream and/or power operations, marketing, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, energy management, finance, accounting, or paralegal studies

Other Requirements:
  • Strong, proactive organization skills
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Prior experience with contract management systems (e.g. Cobblestone Contract Insight)
  • Preferred: Strength in communicating with varying audiences
  • Preferred: Ability to multitask and prioritize work, including coordinating with multiple internal partners
  • Preferred: Strong project management skills to plan, organize, and track work efficiently
