We are currently accepting applications for a Cartage Sanitation Technician at our new, state-of-the-art truck storage facility in Milton, WI, conveniently located north of Janesville. This is a regular, full-time position that works Sunday from 6:00am – 2:30pm and 9am - 5:30pm Monday - Thursday OR Tuesday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm and Saturday 6:00am - 2:30pm. The position will report to the Fleet Sanitation and Maintenance Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY: Acts as a sanitation technician for the fleet and supports facility janitorial duties. Responsible for cleaning, sanitation and upkeep of the Cartage tractor and trailer fleet. This position cleans the inside, outside, and pump parts of our tanker trailers to food grade standards, and sanitizing of food processing equipment and for maintaining overall cleanliness of the general trucking facility.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Execute sanitation program for Clasen equipment to ensure low failure rates, proper sanitation levels, and equipment longevity.
  • Clean and maintain the outside, inside, and trailer pump parts of Clasen owned trailers.
  • Monitors chemical inventory and the basic sanitation supplies and tool inventories.
  • Cleans shop walls, floors, ceilings, restrooms, hallways, locker rooms and other work areas while maintaining a high standard of facility cleanliness according to the master sanitation schedule
  • Ensures inventory, safe handling, correct measurement, and proper usage of cleaning chemicals.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies and hand washing sinks.
  • Perform minor maintenance on pipes, pumps and cleaning equipment, such as replace o-rings on pump housing, etc.
  • Transports and returns waste and cardboard bins to designated areas.
  • Operate forklift and other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Operate yard spotter tractor to move trailers around as needed.
  • Coordinate with Dispatch and scheduling for sanitation tasks as needed.
  • Attend team, safety, and quality meetings, complete the necessary training / certification required by supervision, and train others as needed.
  • Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor, while following all company, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular attendance at work, and work overtime as needed.



QUALIFICATIONS:


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous sanitation or janitorial experience is preferred
  • Prior knowledge of chemical handling and storage is preferred.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Experience moving trailers with spotter tractor is preferred
