About CSSI

Coastal Security Services, Inc. has been a trusted name in professional security since 2006. Licensed in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, we provide armed and unarmed officers, mobile patrols, K9 units, and technology-driven security solutions to healthcare facilities, residential communities, commercial properties, schools, and special events across the Southeast.

We invest in our people. CSSI officers receive hands-on training through our in-house Academy — including situational training, first aid, CPR, and advanced certifications — that goes well beyond state requirements.

About the Role

We are hiring a full-time evening shift Security Officer to provide professional security coverage at a commercial facility in the Savannah, GA area. You will be responsible for securing the property during evening and nighttime hours, monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and ensuring the safety of the facility, employees, and assets.

What You'll Do
  • Provide security coverage at a commercial facility during evening hours
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and manage entry and exit
  • Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the property
  • Respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations
  • Monitor CCTV and security systems throughout the facility
  • Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation
  • Communicate effectively with site management, staff, and CSSI dispatch
  • Secure the facility at the end of business operations each evening
Schedule Details

This position works primarily Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM but weekends will required on a case by case basis.

Compensation

$18.00 per hour. CSSI uses a post-based pay structure — your hourly rate is determined by the site you are assigned to.

Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid Georgia security guard registration (or ability to obtain prior to start — CSSI provides access to required training)
  • Clean criminal background — must pass background check
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
  • Availability to work evening shifts Monday through Friday
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform foot patrols
  • High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience
  • Commercial or industrial facility security experience
  • Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, and incident reporting
