Job description

Coastal Construction Corp is a privately held general contractor based in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Established in 1994, the company serves clients across New England with retail, commercial, fit-out, and ground-up construction projects. Coastal Construction emphasizes durable workmanship, trusted partnerships, and long-term client relationships—reporting that more than half of its customers have worked with the company for at least a decade. Its headquarters is located at 17 Railroad Avenue in Duxbury.


Coastal Construction Corp is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Junior Estimator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career construction professional to develop estimating, project-planning, and subcontractor-management skills while supporting a range of construction projects.


Responsibilities

· Assist with reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents

· Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare budgets and estimates

· Solicit and organize pricing from subcontractors and suppliers

· Help prepare bid proposals, scope sheets, and project budgets

· Compare bids and identify scope gaps, exclusions, and cost-saving opportunities

· Maintain accurate estimating files, vendor information, and historical cost data

· Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and senior estimators

· Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings as needed

· Support the handoff of awarded projects from estimating to operations


Qualifications

· Degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field preferred

· 1–5 years of experience in construction, estimating, or project coordination

· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

· Strong math, organization, and attention-to-detail skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

· Familiarity with Procore, BuildingConnected, and take off software preferred
