Job description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Support contract strategy development during the project planning phases.

· Aid in the identification, pre-qualification, and vetting of contractors

· Compile recommended bidders list and work with team to finalize and route for approval.

· Draft and/or facilitate the development of inquiry documents including Special Conditions, Proposal form, Pricing Sheets, Scope of Work document, and any required additional attachments.

· Coordinate the overall assembly and final review of the inquiry package prior to its release

· Assist Supply Chain Management in leading pre-bid meetings with responsibility for pre-bid presentation development, agenda, Special Conditions, and follow-up.

· Administer questions-answers process during bid period in conjunction with Supply Chain Management.

· Prepare bid analysis documents and support the proposal review and contract award process.

· Lead call-back meetings with responsibility for agenda, transcripts, content, and follow-up.

· Produce award recommendation and work with project team to finalize and route for approval

· Oversee the conformance and final review of the contract documents prior to execution

· Work with Supply Chain Management in leading feedback meetings with unsuccessful bidders with responsibility for agenda, transcripts, content, and follow-up.

· Provide project teams with contract administration support, including for resolution of change orders and claims.


EXPERIENCE:

· Accredited degree or global equivalent in Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management, Business, or Law preferred

· Large and complex construction project experience required, with heavy industrial construction experience highly preferred.

· Experience in construction contract management and/or subcontract administration required.

· Experience planning and developing construction contract packages, and evaluating proposals preferred.

· Experience leading projects involving cross-functional teams preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Knowledge of common project delivery methods (i.e. Design-Bid-Build, EPC, etc.) and contract pricing methods (i.e. Firm Fixed Price, Unit Price, T&M, etc.) preferred.

· Comprehensive knowledge of construction contracts and labor agreements preferred.

· Ability to interface with project teams, supply chain, contractors, designers, vendors and other parties connected with the project.

· Proven interpersonal and communication skills working with customer leadership

· Strong computer skills, particularly proficiency with Microsoft Suite including SharePoint and Teams.
