Coeur Mining is a U.S.-based, well-diversified, growing precious metals producer with seven wholly-owned operations: the New Afton gold-copper mine in British Columbia, Canada, the Rainy River gold-silver mine in Ontario, Canada, the Las Chiapas silver-gold mine in Sonora, Mexico, the Palmarejo gold-silver mine in Chihuahua, Mexico, the Rochester silver-gold mine in Nevada, the Kensington gold mine in Alaska and the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota. About the Job:

The Health & Safety Specialist is responsible for identifying, developing, and communicating best practices to support a safe and compliant work environment. This role will lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing operational risks and enhancing health and safety awareness across the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and promote health and safety best practices to support operational excellence
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on minimizing risks in work processes.
  • Conduct and assist with risk assessments to proactively identify, evaluate, and control workplace hazards
  • Collaborate with teams across departments to raise safety awareness and encourage safe behaviors
  • Support implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions stemming from incident investigations and audits
  • Participate in field observations and provide coaching to reinforce safety standards

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and exposure control methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate training and engage diverse teams
  • In-depth knowledge of 30 CFR Parts 45, 47, 48, 50, 56, 58, and 62 as they relate to MSHA regulatory compliance
