Summary

The Nashville office of Loeb & Loeb LLP seeks a Contract and Royalty Analyst to work in a well-established Entertainment practice group that represents an international clientele of artists, celebrities, athletes, coaches, executives and entrepreneurs. The group works across Loeb's many practice areas - including but not limited to, Corporate, Intellectual Property, Copyright and Trademark Protection, and Litigation - to provide global, regional and industry-specific solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

This position will work with a cross-functional team gathering and analyzing music contracts, royalties, and other income for our clientele. The role will primarily focus on analyzing and assisting with the valuation of potential and active music catalog sales, assisting with music and photo licensing, as well as general entertainment drafting and contract analysis and can include for example:

  • Gathering, reviewing, reconciling and presenting royalty data in an organized and efficient manner;
  • Evaluating incoming contracts and royalty statements for clients in relation to potential catalog valuations and sales;
  • Preparing informal valuations for clients for potential/active catalog sales;
  • Reviewing music licensing agreements and drafting terms for attorney review;
  • Reviewing producer/artist-related agreements and drafting terms for attorney review;
  • Using AI (Harvey) to create efficiencies.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical background with an emphasis on financial and/or data analysis;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to handle high volume of work while maintaining accuracy and detail;
  • Expert knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Tables and formulas;
  • Experience with preparing Power Point presentations a plus;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrate confidentiality in all matters.
Education and Experience
  • 4-year college degree; Business/Accounting focus preferred but not required;
  • Ideal candidate would have 2 to 3 years of experience with a music publishing company in a royalty-related role or a record company or law firm that handles similar projects.
