Job description

AXL is a tactical gear design and manufacturing company seeking motivated laser cutting operators to join our team!
Duties
  • Responsible for operating & maintaining CO2 Laser cutters to cut fabrics and textiles
  • We are looking for someone with attention to detail who can multitask, is organized, can follow directions, and identify issues before they become a problem.
  • Maintain work areas and equipment.
  • Assist with other tasks as needed and identified by management.
Ideal Candidate:
  • 1+ Year experience with C02 Laser cutters
  • Apparel industry cut room experience and knowledge of textile materials are a plus.
  • Knowledge of importing DXF files into laser cutters and laser cutting control software (Lightburn, RDworks, etc).
  • Big plus if you know Autcad, Autocad LT, Fusion360, or similar CAD programs.

  • Knowledge of Materials, Nylon Gear & Sewing are a Big Plus: Different types of nylon fabrics, webbing, elastics, velcro, camo patterns, plate carriers, pouches, packs, industrial sewing machines, etc.
  • Experience in a production sewing environment (apparel, back packs, pouches, purses, bags, outdoor gear, etc).
  • Sewing on an industrial sewing machine
  • Knowledge of Military and/or Law Enforcement load-bearing gear (MOLLE/PALs), body armor vests, plate carriers, chest rigs, and ammo pouches from major brands (Spiritus, Crye, Ferro, Eagle, LBT, etc).
  • Military Veteran and/or First Responder
  • Software Programs: Lightburn, RDWorks, Microsoft Office programs (email, Word, and excel) or similar google app versions.
  • Experience with firearms, airsoft, milsim magfed paintball, etc.
Compensation / Job Advantages:

  • Work in a comfortable heated and air-conditioned facility
  • Starting wage of $14.00 to $20.00 per hour: based on your knowledge and experience
Positions Available:

  • Full-time: Day shift available
  • Part-Time: Morning, Afternoon, Nights, Weekends (Work with School Schedules).
