Job description

Job SummaryA CNC Laser Operator will learn to operate both CO2 and Fiber lasers.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
  • Support the safety and quality programs by following all accompanying rules and established processes.
  • Set-up and operate CNC Lasers, including adjustments to the program.
  • Operate forktrucks to move materials from one area to another.
  • Other duties as assigned.
ShiftsThis is a 2nd shift position, training will take place on 1st shift for 4-8 weeks. There is a $1.50/hr. shift premium, this will start while training on 1st shift.

2nd shift hours are Monday through Thursday 3:30pm to 2:00am.

Overtime is posted the Wednesday prior to the week it is worked.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to operator sit down forktruck.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as: hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder and bander.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as: tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper and micrometer.
  • Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.
  • Ability to convert metric to english and vice versa.
  • Provide high quality work to all internal and external customers as related toe output of their position.
  • Capable of setting up and operator one or more processing machines.
  • Speak, write and comprehend conversational English.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 20-60 lbs. repetitively throughout the course of a shift.
  • Ability to bend, sit, stand, twist and stoop for long periods of time.
  • Ability to walk during the course of a shift.
  • Ability to maintain coordination of hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects with precision.

Subject to environmental conditions that occur indoors and outdoors which includes but is not limited to exposure to changing temperatures, loud noise, and vibration from use of equipment and the following:

  • Hazards: variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
  • Atmospheric conditions: one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin- fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gasses or poor ventilation.
  • Oils: there is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.

We use fiber and CO2 lasers to cut metal, robotic press brake along with conventional press brakes, robotic welding along with conventional MIG and TIG welding, machining and saw capabilities. We serve a wide variety of industries including agriculture, construction, rail and energy.
