In Canada, the most well-known example is the Co-op Refinery Complex in Regina, Saskatchewan, owned by Federated Co-operatives Limited. These refineries play a key role in supplying fuel and energy products to member co-ops and their communities. The cooperative model means that profits and decision-making are shared among the member organizations, supporting local economies.
